Type specimen: USNM 646114, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 8477 - Rio Tuira [Tuira Fm], which is in a Tortonian marine horizon in the Tuira Formation of Panama.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at USGS Loc. 8477 - Rio Tuira [Tuira Fm]
