Type specimen: UMMP 7487, a skull. Its type locality is Near Otis Chalk, Brachysuchus holotype, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial conglomerate in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Near Otis Chalk, Brachysuchus holotype
