Belongs to Lemonea according to R. M. Finks 2010
Sister taxa: Lemonea conica, Lemonea cylindrica, Lemonea digitata, Lemonea exaulifera, Lemonea micra, Lemonea polysiphonata
Type specimen: AMNH 44879. Its type locality is AMNH512, Guadalupe Pass, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas.
