Type specimen: SAM-PK-K9954, a skull. Its type locality is New Lootsberg Pass, Tweefontein Farm, which is in an Induan dry floodplain siltstone/sandstone in the Balfour Formation of South Africa.

Distribution: found only at New Lootsberg Pass, Tweefontein Farm
