Type specimen: UNSM 49038, a skull (nearly complete skull). Its type locality is UNSM Sx-6 (Orella C), which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in the Brule Formation of Nebraska.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution: found only at UNSM Sx-6 (Orella C)
