Sister taxon: Delectosaurus berezhanensis

Type specimen: PIN no. 4644/1, a partial skull (skull is lacking the lower jaw; right maxilla, right nasal, and right part of premaxilla are damaged, both stapedes are lost; walls of the braincase are partial). Its type locality is Voskresenskoe-2B, PIN 4644, which is in a Vyatkian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation.

Distribution: found only at Voskresenskoe-2B, PIN 4644
