Sister taxon: Gissocrinus voiseyi
Type specimen: BM E 26573, a calyx. Its type locality is Leintwardine starfish bed, which is in a Leintwardine lagoonal siltstone in the Lower Leintwardine Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Leintwardine starfish bed
