Type specimen: MACN-RN 175, a tooth (lower right m2). Its type locality is Cerrito del Mamifero, Los Alamitos vertebrates, middle section, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Los Alamitos Formation of Argentina.
