Sister taxon: Anoualerpeton unicus
Type specimen: BMNH R.16336 (= UCK 14), a partial skull (premaxilla). Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed)
