Type specimen: NSWGS 12572, a partial skeleton (Skull, pectoral bird, vertebral column and hind limb). Its type locality is Gosford Quarry (BMNH coll), which is in a Spathian/Bithynian lacustrine shale in the Terrigal Formation of Australia.

Distribution: found only at Gosford Quarry (BMNH coll)
