Type specimen: BMNH Ph-000805 (Beijing Museum of Natural History), a skeleton (a slab containing a nearly complete adult or subadult individual, generally preserved in ventral view, with poorly preserved feathers around the skull and shoul). Its type locality is Lamadong, Jianchang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lamadong, Jianchang
