Type specimen: UCLA 38541, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 26933, Miller Mountain, which is in a Montezuman deep subtidal siltstone in the Campito Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at LACMIP loc. 26933, Miller Mountain
