Type specimen: LACMIP 553, a wing. Its type locality is Site 24 (LACMIP 372), Calico Hills, which is in a Hemingfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Barstow Formation of California.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Site 24 (LACMIP 372), Calico Hills
