Sister taxon: Stegoceras validum

Type specimen: NMMNH P-33898, a partial skull (frontoparietal). Its type locality is NMMNH L-3097, which is in a Campanian terrestrial shale in the Fruitland Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (5: New Mexico collections)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
