Sister taxa: Eoviscaccia australis, Eoviscaccia frassinettii
Type specimen: MNHN BLV 164, a maxilla (right palatal fragment with P4-M3). Its type locality is Lacayani Fauna, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial claystone/sandstone in Bolivia.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Lacayani Fauna
