Type specimen: YPM-PU 17258, a partial skull (Incomplete skull & 4 osteoderms). Its type locality is White Butte/Turtle Valley, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial claystone in the Golden Valley Formation of North Dakota.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at White Butte/Turtle Valley
