Type specimen: GSDM 00021, a set of postcrania (caudal vertebra, three dorsal ribs, left ilium, osteoderms including portion of pelvic shield). Its type locality is Guanmengou No. 4 bonebed, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine siltstone/mudstone in the 5 Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Guanmengou No. 4 bonebed
