Type specimen: UNM 13,342, a shell. Its type locality is Carrizo Arroyo Unit 52, which is in a Virgilian marine limestone/shale in the Red Tanks Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: epifaunal

Distribution: found only at Carrizo Arroyo Unit 52
