Type specimen: USNM Kohls 51944, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Denson site, locality 41619, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Green River Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Denson site, locality 41619
