Type specimen: CEGH–UNC 20578, a valve (Internal mold of a dorsal valve). Its type locality is Ch-1. Quebrada Chalala, Purmamarca, which is in a Tremadoc transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/siltstone in the Coquena Formation of Argentina.
