Type specimen: USNM 144961, a shell. Its type locality is Section 06. Franklin Mountain. Small ridge 0.7 mile S55˚W. of Sugarloaf Mountain, which is in a Maysvillian deep subtidal dolomite in the Aleman Formation of Texas.
