Belongs to Rhizophtoma according to D. Peris and X. Delclòs 2015
Sister taxa: Rhizophtoma elateroides, Rhizophtoma synchrotronica
Type specimen: MCNA-9184, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Peñacerrada outcrop I, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Peñacerrada outcrop I
