Type specimen: KNM-LH 49872, a mandible (Partial right mandible). Its type locality is Lokone Hills 13, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine deltaic sandstone in the Lokone Sandstone Formation of Kenya.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Lokone Hills 13
