Sister taxon: Lushilagus lohoensis
Type specimen: IVPP V8277, a tooth (Left P3). Its type locality is Shipigou, which is in an Eocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hetaoyuan Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution: found only at Shipigou
