Type specimen: IVPP V5721, a skull. Its type locality is Huheboerhe (lower Arshanto), which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Arshanto Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser

Distribution: found only at Huheboerhe (lower Arshanto)
