Belongs to Litodonomys according to Wang and Qiu 2000

Sister taxa: Litodonomys lajeensis, Litodonomys xishuiensis

Type specimen: IVPP V11768, a tooth (Right M2). Its type locality is Shangxigou (GL 9601B), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone in the Xianshuihe Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-insectivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Mongolia (4 collections)

• Oligocene to Miocene of Mongolia (1)

• Oligocene of China (4), Mongolia (2)
