Type specimen: MLP 125, a mandible (fragment of right mandible with dp4-m1). Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake Colhué Huapí
