Sister taxa: Yuomys eleganes, Yuomys huangzhuangensis, Yuomys huheboerhensis, Yuomys minggangensis, Yuomys weijingensis, Yuomys yunnanensis
Type specimen: IVPP V4796, a skull. Its type locality is Jentsen, southern bank of Huangho, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Yuanchu Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of China (4 collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
