- Heothema media: IVPP V4969. Its type locality is IVPP Loc. 73088, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in China.
- Heothema nanningensis: Its type locality is Yongning (lower member), which is in an Oligocene mire/swamp lignite in the Yongning Formation of China.
