Type specimen: OU44899, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Foulden maar (I43/f8503), which is in an Aquitanian crater lake diatomite in the Foulden Hills Diatomite Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Foulden maar (I43/f8503)
