Sister taxa: Zonaria (Zonaria) pittorum, Zonaria (Zonaria) pyrum
Type specimen: Holotype SGOPI.4972, a shell. Its type locality is SGOPI loc. 031282, 1 km north of Matanzas, Cardenal Caro Province, which is in a Tortonian foreshore sandstone in the Navidad Formation of Chile.
Ecology: epifaunal omnivore-grazer
Distribution: there are no occurrences of Zonaria (Zonaria) frassinetti in the database
