Sister taxon: Mubhammys atlanticus
Type specimen: CGM 66001, a maxilla. Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
