Belongs to Tinosaurus according to Z.-M. Dong 1965
Sister taxa: none
Type specimen: IVPP V 2899 (right maxilla and lower jaw). Its type locality is Mengjiapo, fossil locality no. 57202, Lushi basin, which is in an Eocene lacustrine marl/siltstone in the Lushi Formation of China.
