Type specimens:

  • Asianeomys dangheensis: IVPP V13103.1, a tooth. Its type locality is Yandantu Gou (IVPP Loc. DH 199904A), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Paoniuquan Formation of China.
  • Asianeomys engesseri: IVPP V 14457.1, a tooth. Its type locality is IVPP Loc. 99005, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Suosuoquan Formation of China.
