Type specimen: CEGH-UNC 7309., a valve (internal mould of dorsal valve). Its type locality is Seccion del Cerro Agua de Felipe. Layer 3, which is in a Rhuddanian marine sandstone/shale in the La Chilca Formation of Argentina.
