Belongs to Calyptolepta according to R. B. Neuman 1976
Sister taxon: Calyptolepta huanghuaensis
Type specimen: GSC 35066, a shell (articulated valves). Its type locality is Virgin Arm, which is in a Darriwilian carbonate limestone in the Cobbs Arm Formation of Canada.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Canada (3: Newfoundland collections), Norway (1)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
