Sister taxa: Palimphemus anceps, Palimphemus minusculoides
Type specimen: NRM-PZ P.15973. Its type locality is IAA 1/95, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial horizon in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at IAA 1/95
