Sister taxa: Plagiomene accola, Plagiomene multicuspis
Type specimen: UM 108443, a partial skull (Partial skull, left dentary, and associated postcrania). Its type locality is SC-389, which is in a Paleocene fluvial siltstone in Wyoming.
Ecology: arboreal folivore
Distribution: found only at SC-389
