Type specimen: CIT 10329, a dermal scale. Its type locality is Richfield Oil Co. K.C.L. No. 1, which is in a Miocene marine horizon in the Temblor Formation of California.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Richfield Oil Co. K.C.L. No. 1
