Type specimen: NHMUK R9804, a mandible. Its type locality is Fauna 12, 36.3-36.7 km from Calabar, south-east Nigeria, which is in a Campanian offshore shale in the Nkporo Shale Formation of Nigeria.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Fauna 12, 36.3-36.7 km from Calabar, south-east Nigeria
