Type specimen: IVPP V17970, a skeleton (a nearly complete and articulated skeleton with an aggregate of gastroliths in the abdominal region and feather traces preserved in a single slab, missing the s). Its type locality is Lamadong, Jianchang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lamadong, Jianchang
