Type specimen: USNM 108397. Its type locality is Hayneville, Lowndes, which is in a Santonian marine horizon in the Mooreville Chalk Formation of Alabama.

Ecology: slow-moving shallow infaunal deposit feeder-detritivore

Distribution: found only at Hayneville, Lowndes
