Type specimen: UF 281000, a partial skeleton (nearly complete skull and mandible, with associated postcranium consisting of the atlas, axis, cervicals 3–7, and thoracic through lumbar vertebrae and ribs of ). Its type locality is Gaillard Cut, Culebra Formation, which is in an Aquitanian/Burdigalian prodelta siltstone in the Culebra Formation of Panama.
Ecology: aquatic herbivore
Distribution: found only at Gaillard Cut, Culebra Formation
