Type specimen: YPM 541, a partial skeleton (frontals (lectotype), 3 lower jaw fragments, partial right maxilla, pterygoid, scutes and bone fragments). Its type locality is Grizzly Buttes, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Grizzly Buttes
