Sister taxon: Entomolestes westgatei

Type specimen: A.M.N.H. No. 11485, a mandible (fragment of the left jaw with P3-M3 and five anterior alveoli preserved). Its type locality is Grizzly Buttes, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: semifossorial insectivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Grizzly Buttes
