Belongs to Brevibole according to P. Müller and G. Hahn 2019
Sister taxa: Semiproetus (Brevibole) brevispina, Semiproetus (Brevibole) trigonifrons
Type specimen: SMF 100781a–b, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Rösenbeck bei Brilon, which is in an Ivorian marine limestone in the Erdbach Formation of Germany.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at Rösenbeck bei Brilon
