Type specimen: Amer. Mus. No. 39081, a partial skeleton (fairly complete skull and jaws, most of a fore limb and other fragments). Its type locality is Manitsha Site, which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in South Dakota.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Manitsha Site
