Sister taxa: Cimbrochrysa major, Cimbrochrysa moleriensis

Type specimen: UCM 33497, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Florissant, Station 14
