Type specimen: UCMP 19414, a tooth (an isolated lower molar). Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada.

• Hemphillian of United States (11: California, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas collections)

• Miocene of United States (3: Nebraska)
