Type specimen: UCMP 28521, a set of teeth (Worn right M1, M2, and M3). Its type locality is Rodent Hill, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Barstow Formation of California.

Ecology: scansorial granivore-frugivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of United States (24: California, Nebraska, Nevada, Wyoming collections)

Total: 24 collections each including a single occurrence
